
For this week I'm gonna be posting a recipe a day. Kraft calls it "1 bag, 5 Dinners" It's an inexpensive way to eat better for someone with not a lot of cash.
Day 1
This is such an easy recipe to make and it only takes 25 minutes to make and is very budget friendly. For less than $20 you can not only feed yourself but your friends too. This dish allows you to take something as simple as macaroni and cheese add chicken and vegatables to it and turn it into a healthy home cooked meal.
The ingrediants are easy all you need is:
1 pkg. (7-1/4 oz.) KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen mixed vegetables
1/4 cup fat-free milk
2 tsp. butter
1/2 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cooked, chopped (about 1 cup)
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1 pkg. (7-1/4 oz.) KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen mixed vegetables
1/4 cup fat-free milk
2 tsp. butter
1/2 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cooked, chopped (about 1 cup)
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Then once your ready:
COOK Macaroni in large saucepan as directed on package, adding the vegetables to the boiling water along with the macaroni. Drain; return to pan.
ADD Cheese Sauce Mix and remaining ingredients; mix well. Reduce heat to low; cook 1 to 2 min. or until heated through, stirring occasionally.
